KNEX Gears

KNEX offers several different sizes of gears. This page is provided as a reference for various parameters associated with those gears.

The gears come in three different sizes which we will refer to as small, medium and large.

The table below shows the transmission ratio for a given pair of gears. It also shows the distance between the centers of the two gears in terms of what struts are needed between their centers in the framework which supports them.
