Currently, I am a PostDoc in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences working in the area of Computational Neuroscience under the supervision of Prof. Emery Brown. My projects include controlling pathological neural activity using deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's patients. A brief statement of this research is provided here. I am a 2008 recipient of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Career Awards at the Scientific Interface , which provides $500K in support of my current research efforts.

I received my PhD in 2006 in the Control Systems Group (CSG) in the Laboratory of Information and Decision Systems . My primary research area was Control Under Communication Constraints. My thesis advisor was Prof. Munther A. Dahleh.

I received my MS in 1997 in the Spoken Language Systems (SLS) group at the MIT Laboratory of Computer Science with Prof. Victor Zue. We conducted research in the area of speaker verification.

In the year of 2000, I took a 3-year leave of absence from MIT to launch a start-up company in the area of Marketing Analytics with Prof. Dahleh and colleagues.
