Xitong Li is currently a fourth-year Ph.D. student in Management Science at the Information Technologies (IT) Group, MIT Sloan School of Management. Xitong's research interests include all aspects of effective use and management of online data sources, e.g., economics of using online reviews and social media, online marketing, and Web services. Xitong's advisor at MIT is Prof. Stuart E. Madnick.

Xitong holds Ph.D., M.Eng., and B.Eng. degrees in Control Science and Engineering from the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, P. R. China. Since December of 2011, Xitong has been invited to provide professional services a visiting fellow at the School of Management Xi'An Jiaotong University for two-year period.

Our paper A Context-Based Approach to Reconciling Data Interpretation Conflicts in Web Services Composition (with Stuart Madnick, Hongwei Zhu) has been accepted for publication by ACM Transactions on Internet Technology (TOIT).

Our paper Measuring Effects of Observational Learning and Social-Network Word-of-Mouth (WOM) on the Sales of Daily-Deal Vouchers (with Lynn Wu) has won the best paper award in Internet and the Digital Economy Track at the 46th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS 2013).
