10.001 is a course on Introduction to Computer Methods. Although we teach C, 10.001 is not a standard computer programming course; half the course is spent on numerical methods appropriate to engineering and scientific problems.
Most of the administration of this course is handled electronically. It is our conviction that you, the user, are most empowered when you have a working knowledge of the operating system and its command syntax, and that this knowledge is reinforced through daily usage. Much of what is provided here may be obtained directly from the 10.001 locker.
