Fulcrum Sketches for Pendulum Clock Puzzle

The fulcrum will hang inside the pendulum clock. A mass is attached to one end of the fulcrum; the other end is attached to the clock. The speed of the clock hands is determined by the period of the pendulum. A longer fulcrum will cause the hands to process slowly, while a shorter fulcrum will cause the hands to process quickly. Guests must alter the pendulum's period by changing the length of the fulcrum such that the procession of the clock's hands corresponds to an ordinary clock. Three mechanisms to alter the length of the fulcrum are proposed.
