These control rods are appropriately simple. The choice of acrylic endcaps makes good sense from a lighting perspective, but may cause reliability problems. Repeatedly dropping a weighted cylinder onto an acrylic end cap may eventually cause the cap to shatter or chip away. Perhaps polycarbonate would have a longer life? Rubber floor matting could be considered as well, but has it's own durability and aesthetic challenges.

in the design detail, the pictures should be labeled. I had to read through your storyboard to figure out what the control rod should look like.

i like how detailed your components are. it looks very feasible. it would be helpful if you added detail about the connection between each part bc right now they're all just somehow magically fitted together

Looks great--not sure about how big the control rods will be, but it might be worth looking into thermoforming the caps so that you can make it all in one piece, which would be tougher to accomplish with acrylic. Overall, I think the design is resourceful and effective. Well done!

The assembly for the control rods looks on-point! Multiple mechanical elements were taken into account for the function of the system and the assembly. Might a couple of other mechanical elements, but looks like it would work nice.

The rendering / model leaves out some important mechanical details, like how the rope handle attaches to the acrylic caps, and how the caps mount to PVC tube. These details will be important to the quality and durability of the final product, and will hopefully get integrated into the model at a later stage.

The rendering is nicely done, but besides the picture, there is no description of the control rods. Why did you choose certain aspects of the control rod over others for the user experience? The control rod as is it a bit boring - will there be other colors/details that help to show it's "radioactive"? These small additional details will help to make the controls rods much more visually exciting and enhance the user experience.

rendering technique is okay. it looks like pretty low res. since your rod is gray, the background should be a darker color to contrast the rod better

The cad renderings are detailed and well-displayed with the exploded-view showing multiple interconnected elements for the final assembly. The images could be of higher rendering quality.
