How do the wires layout for this design? Also, the lip that prevents its movement, how do you make that durable enough to not break? I would suggest not using wood for the elements that will take the most wear.
This base looks really good and well thought out. I like that you included a lip to prevent the things from over rotating and that you have thought out how much weight it can hold. I also like that it has a large range in which it can travel. I think that the design looks really good and the bearings are well laid out. Just wondering how easy it would be to replace bearings if they got worn out.
I really like this concept. It seems really fun and can work for a number of different players. The use of ball bearings is really smart and provides an automatic reset of the platform, which is nice. Your calculations seem solid and looks to be very feasible.
Is there anything preventing someone from picking up this whole unit and removing it from the hole? How much does it weigh? Is the way to "cheat" this game is to only put one foot on the moving part and one on the stable deck?
The design is nice and simple. Have you thought about what material to make the base out of? The theming around the room looks great, and matching the base to the theming would enhance the experience. Also, perhaps showing a person standing on the base would give a nice sense of scale for how large the platform is.
