Quality and thoroughness of human-use analysis and improvement suggestions

Reviewer 1:

What did I like?

(1) As a time sheet user, I empathize with the analysis and completely agree that it can get annoying at times. Good topic to conduct a human use analysis as it needs improvement in real life.

(2) Surveying users with the help of an online survey form to collect the data from a large group of people who are regular users of the system. The survey really helped to understand the users' pattern regarding usage, problems, experiences and what do they want.

(3) Graphical representation of the survey data and statistics communicates the information to the reader easily

(4) Prioritizing the fixes and improvements as per the users' requirements and feedback to improve the user experience

Potential improvement/recommendation

(1) Integrating save and close buttons to one "Save & close" button will help to avoid the confusion to the users who accidentally press the X button and lock themselves out of the system. I am not sure if the X button can be re-programmed to be the save & close button as the X button belongs to the window of the user's browser and not the timesheet system.

I think the quality and thoroughness of Elizabeth's user experience analysis of Atlas Time Entry is extremely well done. I am impressed by the detail, care, and intricacy of her assessment.

First, Elizabeth paints a very clear picture, linguistically and visually, of what Atlas Time Entry is and how it works. This then allows me as the reader to comprehend the survey responses and coinciding improvement analysis.

On that note, I felt that the survey results were very well articulated and really added needed color to the final recommendations and suggested changes.

Reviewer 3:

It was really cool to have a slideshow of pretty much every possible step of the atlas process. Then it flowed seamlessly into survey responses from many users which really adds credibility to the assertions you make about the system. The visual redesign of the website was cool as I got to actually see what the change would implement rather than just reading about it. You also hit my personal pain point of getting locked out for an hour

Clarity and presentation of human-use experience analysis

Reviewer 1:

What did I like?

(1) The content is clear, concise, and easy to read. The font style, font size, and font color of the website is simple and easily readable. The site works well without any issues and easy to navigate.

(2) Good use of sequential pictures to explain how the timesheet entry system works and exactly pinpoint the user interface to augment reader's understanding of the content.

Potential improvements/recommendations

(1) Survey data in the sections "What does work and doesn't?" and "Do people want something different?" could be streamlined in a better way. For example, use of graphics to highlight the most common response, most negative or positive response to make it apparent to the reader.

(2) Minor things - make use of text-align: justify HTML attribute to wrap the text evenly between the margins. The justified text gives your document clean, crisp edges so that it looks more polished.

(3) Images - Images in step by step walkthrough could be made a bit bigger for the reader to easily read and understand the image - the current image size used is a bit small and makes it slightly difficult to read. Align the single images in the center of the webpage to make it more presentable and make the webpage look uniform.

Reviewer 2:

I really like the clarity and presentation of Elizabeth's website. Generally, the site is outlined very well, and the arrow designed formatting is very intuitive. The flow makes sense, and I like that the page icons can be accessed from either the top or the bottom of the page.

The one constructive critique I have for Elizabeth's presentation is to consider having the Step by Step Walkthrough be all on one page. Currently, I need to click on each of the many steps. However, this takes time and disallows the reader from comparing information across pages. I think having all of the information organized on the same page (while maintaining organization of the site itself) would be very helpful.

Reviewer 3:

Having the set of arrow navigations on both the top and bottom of the page was very convenient. It was easy to navigate to each page and hit all of the parts. The slideshow portions worked well, but it was difficult to tell where I was in the list, which maybe can be added next time.
