Quality and thoroughness of human-use analysis and improvement suggestions

I'm impressed by the effort Gina took to survey a range of user experiences. It is interesting to see the difference in the design intent and the usage of the actual product through the 3 users. The improvements that she has suggested are also really simple to implement and would clearly enhance the user experience.

Very thorough and great use of material from the website to demonstrate the capabilities and "claims" of the product. I thought it was extremely clear and really liked it! The user videos were perfect to see the product in action as well! Good job! One area that might have improved this is better benchmarking to some of the products you compared, like paper towels and other hand dryers. A graph of drying time would have been really enlightening and help put the dyson dryer in perspective. 2nd, I would say some portions of the descriptions had a lot of words and maybe an image could have been used to reduce the word count and make it easier to get information in a visual way.

I like your introduction, I think that it helps to introduce well what is going to be discussed and settles the reader in. It is also a nice anecdote and makes me want to read on. I like that you frame who the users are and their needs, as well as what dyson says about their dryer. This gives good context for what the dryer is supposed to do compared to what people want it to do. I like that you show actual users using the device and state pros on cons based on their feedback. I like also that you break up the problem into two main issues to focus on. I like that your solution is clever and addresses both problems, but a clear sketch may have helped me visualize it better, I think adding a hand would help a lot. It just took me a little bit to understand the system. I also think that what could have been considered is putting more signage saying that the device is clean and that people don't have to fear.

Overall, I think the quality and thoroughness of Gina's user experience analysis of the Dyson Airblade Hand Dryer is fantastic. She clearly has done a lot of research and put thought into her assessment. By breaking down the pro's and con's of distinct users, it allows the reader to humanize the experience and understand the relevant perspectives. Furthermore, doing so creates a great segway when Gina ties-in the users' issues to providing a solution at the conclusion of her analysis.

Clarity and presentation of human-use experience analysis

I really enjoyed how Gina uses different media to present the material in a very clear manner. The videos properly illustrate the different user experience and the gifs help to focus on specific problems in which Gina tries to solve. The product drawings for her redesign were a bit confusing at first and I had to keep reading her description and looking at the drawing to understand the design.

As I said before, the clarity was great! It was very clear what the product was, how your users felt, and what you wanted to improve. The presentation was also good, but the website could have used a little more styling. It was a little hard to read the first paragraph because there was a lot of text and the font was a little small. Overall the layout was good, but just a little more color and larger fonts would have made the "user experience" if your user experience better!

I really like your sit and thing that it flows well and everything is presented in a clear manner. I like that there is a button to click to take me back to the top. Think there could be a little more space between each section. At times it felt that things were getting to be on top of each other and there wasn't a clear break. I think also contributing to this was the lowercase titles, I liked this but think more spacing would make it look better. I also would have preferred a sans serif font, but thats just me. I like that videos as this made things explicitly clear. They did not however load in safari, so i think testing this first would be a good idea. Lastly I like the minimalistic feel and the black grey and red scheme, it makes things not overly crowded or flashy, but easy and clear to read.

Overall, I really like Gina's clarity and presentation in showcasing the human use experience of the Dyson Airblade Hand Dryer. Gina does a great job of embedding visuals and content into the presentation, such as YouTube videos and GIFs. Additionally, the section headers are spaced and sized appropriately to allow the reader to easily distinguish between them. If I were to offer one suggestion, it would be to use relative links or subpages within the website, to allow easier organization for the reader. The scrolling page totally works for the purpose of this analysis, but it would be helpful to provide shortcuts or links so that the user to more easily navigate the content of the assessment.
