Quality and thoroughness of human-use analysis and improvement suggestions

Reviewer 1:

The Instant Pot review flowed nicely between sections, outlining significant user experience shortfalls of the product and offering thoughtful solutions to these challenges. One area of improvement for the analysis is in the complexity of the Frustrations section and how these are evidenced in the user experience example (beef stew). Throughout the review I found myself looking back at the image of the original control panel to understand what some of the frustration descriptions could be referring to. This could be resolved by adding images boxing out the sequence of buttons that cause the issue. Connecting these frustrations back to the control panel can also provide more insight into how the proposed solution resolves the issues identified. I also found that the User Experience section could benefit from divisions throughout the process of using the Instant Pot. Something along the lines of "Getting Started" for images 1-3, "Changing the Heat Level" for images 4-8, and "Changing Operating Modes" for the remainder of the experience description could help the reader digest the main actions and shortfalls of the current design.

Reviewer 2:

The analysis in in depth and clearly presents the reader with the situation. Even if they were unfamiliar with the product beforehand, this ensures that the reader are knowledgeable with the product before going in-depth with any concerns. It does a good job in identifying frustrations and clearly demonstrates ways to tackle these issues.

Reviewer 3:

Your analysis is very thorough, and does a great job communicating the product, and what the problems are that arise when using it. The "Taking a Closer Look" section does a really nice job of laying out the details of a machine that most people are probably unfamiliar with if they haven't used it before. I like how you modified the actual control panel to reflect your suggestions for improvement, as it was really clear to me this way. I think that there may be some more issues that you could look into especially considering the chart in the "user-experience" section, and how if a user saw this and were cooking a dish not in this table, might be a little confused. Overall though, I liked your analysis, and think you did a great job articulating it.

Clarity and presentation of human-use experience analysis

Reviewer 1:

The webpage navigation on the left is well designed, allowing the reader to know where they currently stand and quickly navigate to other areas of interest. In general, I didn't find any major issues with the clarity or presentation of work other than the image size used in the User Experience section, where I needed to refer back to the enlarged image of the control panel or zoom in significantly to understand where the buttons were. I would recommend enlarging these images and potentially reducing number of vignettes required to get the message across. Another note is that the "User Experience" section does not resize in the way that that the rest of the webpage does (probably set to not break the sequence of images). This can be somewhat confusing for someone that is reading through the site in a small window appropriate for the other sections and does not realize this change. I would recommend fixing the minimum width of the entire webpage at the size required for this section or allow the images to shift lines.

Reviewer 2:

Nice use of pictures to take the reader through a step by step process of how to use the machine. It may be useful, however, to have the sections be on separate tabs rather than spaced out as you currently have them. It leaves quite a bit of blank space which makes certain parts look a bit empty.

Reviewer 3:

You did a great job with your website! I like how modern it looks, and it flows very nicely from one part to the next. The only real suggestion I have after looking through it a few times is that some of the pictures were a bit small (mainly in the user-experience section), but of course they were captioned well and I could still see what was going on. Overall, nice work, and I really liked looking through your website!
