Quality and thoroughness of human-use analysis and improvement suggestions

Reviewer 1:

The analysis is incredibly thorough and I really liked how you can navigate directly using the bottom (and you encourage it). its really nice!

Reviewer 2:

I like how the users were categorized and the user goals were separated into 3 actions: pay bill, understand bill, and view usage. Each action was evaluated thoroughly and was clear about what the user was experiencing. Good job! The context and problem were framed very well. Appropriate use of humor.

On the first page, you say that you also tried to view the UX from a beginner point of view. An improvement could be actually interviewing a beginner on their experience withe Eversource and including their feedback in the analysis. It'd be interesting to see what others think of the UX.

I think your use of categories could lend itself to more visual elements, such as making a 3-column chart that lists the goals of the 3 users, pros & cons comparison for the 3 categories/users in the summary section, etc.

Reviewer 3:

I really liked the video showing how to navigate the site. It was much more efficient than pages and pages of screenshots. The presentation of the site is exceptionally clear, his writing style is clear and humorous, and based on the information presented, I agree completely with the issues and redesign.

The one thing I would add would be a wireframe (handdrawn ok) of the new suggested website. The visual would really drive home the redesign.

Reviewer 4:

The thoroughness of your report was on point. I was able to easily follow your work while enjoying reading the descriptions (nice humor). You dd a good job walking us through the process of paying the bill on the website. I also like the videos a lot -- it was able to show how people actually interact and navigate the website. Potential improvements are: a shorter report. You could have summarized a lot of the info on the first page. Reading it was fun, but not something everybody might have wanted to do. I would have been interesting to let somebody who isn't familiar with the website try and navigate it -- this would have really shown the pitfalls in the website (and people's frustration at getting stuck).

Clarity and presentation of human-use experience analysis

Reviewer 1:

Its very clear and the separation of the different sections make sense and are logical.

Reviewer 2:

Overall the clarity and presentation were very good. It was a bit confusing that the introduction and conclusion were on the same page, but I understood nonetheless. I would've create a 5th page at the end of everything for your conclusions and summaries. Again, the users and goals were broken down into categories, which made it very clear what the analysis was doing.

Reviewer 3:

The site design was really clear. I liked how the hyperlinks to the other tabs at the bottom of the page. It was very intuitive.

The pictures were large, centered, and the black outline really helped them stand out.

My one suggestion would be to break the conclusion and recommendations and user categories out of the summary tab into a "redesign" tab.

Reviewer 4:

The clarity and presentation were done well. I understand everything that happened on the website/report while also being entertained with the humor of the report. I think that some of the text could have been shorted to get a clearer look -- however re-iterating/explaining information was useful to make sure everything was understood. I also would have liked the website links to be in order of importance (ie. summary at top, sub pages indented/smaller). When I first got to the site those links were confusing.
