Feedback on the concept explored by the sketch model

Client 1:

Making the players into essentially Godzilla (with the goal of fixing the city instead of breaking it) gives them a cool perspective that we usually only see in movies and would be fun to act out.

I like the idea of making the walls of the room look like the city's skyline, but you'd have to test to make sure that this is a satisfying level of immersion for players. All the other rooms in the venue will be themed such that the walls of the room are walls in the themed environment, so having the walls of this room look (at least partially) like sky may be jarring.

Client 2:

What an awesome little model! It conveys scale, how it'd fit into a room, what the theme might be - very well done.

I really like the sketch model! I like how things like the clouds were used to represent fog (I am assuming at least). Fog might be expensive and not 100% necessary for the game, but would definitely look cool (not sure what the cost-benefit on that is). In the real one, I think it would be nice if the building patterns (for example, the brick on the buildings) would scale with the building itself, as it looks slightly strange that the brick is so large when everything else in the room is on a smaller scale. On that same note, I like how the background/walls is on a similar scale to the buildings -- it definitely helps everything look cohesive!

Reviewer 4:

The scale of the buildings along with the decorations and aesthetics of the buildings are important to create an immersive but not cheesy environment.

Reviewer 5:

The concept explored by the sketch model is the overall "look" of the room to make it an engaging experience. The visual cues are important to explore in the look-like to understand what kind of patterns and textures the users need to match to rebuild the buildings. Also the different heights are pictured with respect to a human to visualize how this building process is done. I really like the fire/smoke and I am excited to see this sketch model come to life!

I like how the puzzle is a 3-dimensional puzzle, which will involve more critical thinking than just a 2 dimensional one.

Feedback on the execution of the sketch model

Client 1:

Overall, very well executed. Just one point: the clouds around the buildings make the scene look cool, but I don't think you could actually include them in the game if you want players to be moving around the city. I think for a visual model it would be wise to stick as closely to what the result will look like as possible... if you add extra elements like the clouds in the visual model stage, you (or an investor) might be disappointed when they go away when you actually make the game.

Client 2:

Great execution of the little model. That kind of detail goes a long way to convey an idea.

Reviewer 3:

I thought that the sketch model was executed well! At first I was a little confused about the cotton ball clouds, as I was not sure how those would actually exist in the room, and then I ultimately realized that they were supposed to represent fog of some sort (I am assuming at least). I also like how the buildings have different patterns, which is helpful for the game and also looks more realistic. In the description, it states that the building foundations glow with red light, and I think it would have been nice to include that (or at least experiment with that) in the looks-like, to try to visualize what that might look like with a small LED or something.

Reviewer 4:

Well designed and good addition of cotton to provide an atmosphere to the scene. I also appreciate the cotton that is coming out of the top/middle parts of the buildings. Would there be a concern for some of this aesthetic to fall after extended use?

Reviewer 5:

The visuals are well done and really draw in the users to make themselves believe that they are in an apocalyptic world as Godzilla sized people. Also, the fire and smoke will help evoke the theme of the apocalypse, creating an immersive experience. It seems like you explored different patterns of buildings, but maybe you can explore different textures of buildings to help guide users who are visually impaired and also make the buildings more realistic. It's hard to tell from the pictures whether it is already done, but if the buildings look slightly damaged, that will also add to the ambiance of the room and help set the scene.

Reviewer 6:

Using the cotton to represent the smoke is a great idea.
