I think you did a good job exploring both the looks-like and the works-like model of your balance. You did a good job making the scale electric and also making it look ancient-egyptian. You also did a good job using 2d materials to make your 3d structure (just like 5-wits would use). I also think you learned a lot about executing the scale aspect of your project and if you continue this will need to look into the hieroglyphs.

It looks good, and I like the background story about how it ties into the Ancient Egyptian theme. It's an interest and unique concept, although I think it would be good if it was better integrated into the whole room, not just as sort of something going on on the side.

As the main indicator about how well a team is doing and how much is left to win the level, the Balance is an important concept of the room. The colors fit well with the Egyptian theme and the incremental changes are clear and noticeable. As you mentioned I definitely think that the size of the balance should be increased and if you want to have only one person looking at the scale to keep track, then you can construct the room to have various walls that limit visibility. What I'm struggling to see is why this progress bar has to be a physical object and why it can't just be a screen with a figure that moves in the same way? I think that a screen can be made to fit a theme well enough that it aesthetically isn't an issue. And in that way a lot of the complexity could be eliminated with the servos and the actual build. Might be something to think of when moving forward. Maybe more time could be spent on objects that the team actually interacts with physically such as the snakes and the hieroglyphs.

From your video I think your scale moves to quickly and not in a smooth fashion. Cleaning up the movement would really improve the gag.

The execution of this model was good -- both the electronics and looks-like paintings looked good. I also like the video online because it was able to show me exactly how it worked. You also did a good job using the website as a "blog" and walking me through exactly what you did in order to make your sketch model. In the future, make sure to check your wiring diagrams before posting them :)

Great execution, and I appreciated the pictures to see how everything was put together. Reducing the time spent getting to each new position would help reduce the jerkiness of the motions.

Really good work accomplishing everything you wanted to find out for the concept sketch. You made the incremental changes in the levels noticeable and made the scale fit the theme really nice with the colors. You mentioned the use of sound as feedback and I think it would be useful under certain scenarios to have that. If you want to let the entire room know then that can be a way to add intensity but if you only want the person monitoring the scale to know then it might not be needed.
