Feedback on the concept explored by the sketch model

Client 1:

I think the pit works better for your theme than the sludge. Both could work, but if you make it look like the floor of the high-rise collapsed and guests have to get across it to reach the exit stairs, why would you need the sludge as well? That's up to you though, like I said, they both could work.

Client 2:

Great detail in your model! I love the little sludge spill, the industrial warehouse background, the wood flooring... great job.

We'd probably avoid the infinity mirror just as people are likely to land on it from overhead. A game like this will want to have gymnastic mats underneath it, to keep people from landing on the concrete. Especially if they attempt to swing from bar to bar.

Reviewer 3:

The looks-like sketch model addresses how to create the post-apocalyptic factory look. The two main things contributing to this aesthetic are the wall paper of the room, and the toxic sludge spills. As the goal was to see how to make the room look convincing, I think you could have tried a couple more things; one that stands out to me is making the bars themselves look more rusted and old. I think at this point it's good to try many things, as it's easier to scale back the room if needed.

Reviewer 4:

The theming was done well for this model. It seemed like you guys wanted to get a sense of what the monkey bar structure would look like inside the room.

Reviewer 5:

Your looks-like model is really interesting and really cool. I think it's very evocative and pulls in some classic Hollywood archetypes about a disaster zone. Very nicely done.

Nice work with the scaling. I thought your looks-like factory really conveys the message of swinging across pipes.

Reviewer 6:

The looks-like model is good, but I think that maybe it would have been more useful to explore an individual "unit" of a monkey bar/ladder to see how you could make it really look like it was supposed to be used to get out of the area.

Feedback on the execution of the sketch model

Client 1:

I like that the monkey bars look like metal pipes that could have been in the ceiling of the building before the ceiling broke. I also like that you've shown not just what the monkey bars and floor will look like, but the walls as well, to show how you'll finish theming the room to look post-apocalyptic.

Client 2:

Great job! Adding some theme detail to the model is really helpful. I love your little scale model people.

I think the bars are set too high in the room - as modeled, that's a long and painful drop. But at this stage, that isn't a big deal at all.

Reviewer 3:

I think the sketch model looks pretty good, and is well executed. The majority of the look comes from the wallpaper, and that alone seems to do a pretty good job. Again, I think adding some more detail would have been helpful in conveying the theme of the room. Another note, and this might be more of a personal preference, but I think the toxic sludge could be a different color, like a radio-active looking green-yellow.

Reviewer 4:

There was a lot of detail in the sketch model. The monkey bars looked very nice and really liked the small box like structure the supports rest on. As this model is supposed to look like the final room, is there a way to show why people shouldn't just walk right across? Are there ledges that people are supposed to be standing on instead? Including something like this would give more clarity to the model and experience. Otherwise, nice job!

Reviewer 5:

My only question about the spinning bar is what was the logic for that complexity. I think it looks like a great workout though.

Reviewer 6:

The model looks really good--it's basically just a scale model of the actual room. I like the wallpaper.
