Feedback on experience depicted in the storyboard as an Open World Experience

Client 1:

I think that you are on the right track to making a fun and unique OpenWorld game, however I forsee some technical problems that I think need addressing.

Client 2:

I think your game play is interesting and definitely worth pursuing, but I think you have a few challenges you'll need to address if you go forward with this idea.

Reviewer 3:

This seems fun, but I'd be interested to see how this puzzle resets. Also, will items of clothing get caught in this?

Reviewer 4:

The experience depicted in the storyboard is fun and exciting for a chocolate lover like me, and it seems there will be enough challenges for players to explore and experience.

Reviewer 5:

I think it's a really cute idea - I wonder how hard it would be to create these "dents" in the floor. Maybe it can be raised instead of embedded into the ground?

Reviewer 6:

The piece by piece storyboard is very innovative, applying a common puzzle game into an enlarged game where people can use their brain and still be active. It is clear that the storyboard has a sweets/candy theme and is consistent throughout the storyboard. The challenge involves all members of the group, which fits the Open World Experience objectives. I am unsure about the system where there are circular dents for each piece because that may allow players to "cheat" ie move the chocolates blocking the way away to match the puzzle. I think the looks-like model that was presented during the presentation works better, because there is no freedom for the chocolate to move other than the direction that you intended the user to move it. It is also unclear how the puzzle is reset every time, but I am assuming that the puzzle on the wall is a screen that changes every time someone enters the room.

Reviewer 7:

I really like the game! I think that the modifications that you made on the storyboard concept (that you describe later when you are explaining your sketch model, I think) are good and that they will make the game better. One thing that I was thinking of was that what if people picked up the blocks of chocolate to play the game rather than sliding them, but I think if the blocks were heavy enough, that this wouldn't happen (but you say that the blocks will be hollow -- so maybe they will be light?). Another thing I was thinking about for the game in general is what if a person was in the middle of the gameboard while the computer vision stuff is trying to do its thing -- would it mess up the computer vision?

Reviewer 8:

Very easy to understand! And I feel like playing it already
