Feedback on the concept explored by the sketch model

Client 1:

Yes, pond foggers are fun and look cool - but we aren't going to use them. Sorry. They just need constant maintenance.

No water. Ever. Sorry.

I think you can create a look that is perfectly fine with a programmed series of flickering LEDs.

Client 2:

I like the general look you are going for.

Liquid will always be tricky to manage, tricky to stay clean, and in this case it's a consumable. This is the biggest challenge to the plan you have know. The feel of the torch, the lighting, and even the finished product look are all pretty cool. The liquid is just the biggest challenge.

Reviewer 3:

It would have been really useful to get a sense of what the rest of the room would look like since the colored tiles and spiders are so integral to the gameplay as well. I would have liked to see how the spiders look with the torch because how that looks/whether or not it is super obvious is a bigger concern for me than whether or not the torch itself can be made to look realistic.

Reviewer 4:

The concept is feasible and functional.

Reviewer 5:

Certainly looks like a torch! I think the structure of the torch and the way it is mounted on the wall also adds to the effect. I'm not sure how the fog fits into the actual concept of fire however. Is the fog supposed to be acting like the smoke, or as a tool to diffuse the flickering light? Fog is always a fun effect, but something seems off to me that it falls to the ground when smoke usually rises. Also, I like how you addressed people sticking their hands into the torch, but people also might try to pull them off the wall or think they are levers. How could you secure them to make sure they don't get pulled off the wall?

Reviewer 6:

A torch is a good design pick for the overall room theme.

Client 2:

Nice model! I think it does a great job showing what you're trying to convey.

Reviewer 3:

The fire looks really realistic and I commend you for being able to come up with a better way for making fire than the traditional wind and cloth method. Since you had a sense of what materials you wanted to mimic with the torch design, why not build the looks-like out of those materials so that it looks more realistic? I think figuring out the way the fire would look was good, but I wish the rest of the model had been made to be an accurate looks-like prototype.

Reviewer 4:

It's very good.

Reviewer 5:

Great execution! It definitely looks like a torch on a wall! The only thing I would suggest is to make the stem of the torch a little bit thicker. The top part of the torch looks a little heavy and not proportional to the stem.

Reviewer 6:

Wow! The fog looks so spooky and real. It would really be a great detail in a 5 Wits room. I would have liked to see what the fog machine/other hardware looks like in/behind the torch? Just to gauge it's size. I know that 5 Wits has had problems with water in the past, especially with 20,000 Leagues in Foxboro, so the upkeep might be a problem. But it looks REALLY great.
