Feedback on the concept explored by the sketch model

Client 1:

I would remove the pond fogger / dry ice. Either go with a haze machine or a typical fog machine - which we're not even sure we're going to use in Open World, due to the open-topped rooms. Haze one room, and you haze them all.

Figuring out how the object you're carrying resets - and whether or not the cable has an electromagnet at the end, is key. But I think you're right not to get into those specific details until you know whether or not you're moving forward with this specific idea.

Client 2:

I like the general look and feel. I think it would be fun!

I'm worry about that space requirement of cauldron, because unlike other typical games that span horizontally, the caldron reqiures vertical space in the room, so in order to provide enough challenges to players, the cauldron has to built on a high enough platform, which might be a safety hazard when players have to move around on the platform.

Reviewer 4:

Exploring what the small cauldron with tentacles will look like is definitely key since it is the main attraction. I know that you guys also explored the works-like for this cauldron, which is good too. I think the other thing that is key is the resetting mechanism and how the item you are lifting will fall back in place without being damaged by the tentacles or without damaging the tentacles themselves.

Reviewer 5:

I think that this is an important concept to explore, with a lot of good questions to answer. I think one of the most important things to explore is the scale/size of the object, which would likely come in a later sketch model, but this did a good job of answering questions about aesthetics and gameplay as well! I think that a cauldron is an awesome way to frame this unique game.

Reviewer 6:

I think this is a really fun activity that is easy to scale for the number of people we are trying to have in the room. I think you need to have something really cool at the bottom or it would not feel super fulfilling to pull it up though. I think you're really going in the right direction with trying to make it look old and decrepit and rusted finish.

Feedback on the execution of the sketch model

Client 1:

Great job - I love the detail you put into it!

Client 2:

Nice build. Does it sort of seem like the tentacles are coming out of a very thin wall? Is there a way to make that feel more real? Maybe playing with the geometry of the well would help this.

The colors and finishing on your model are really nice.

Reviewer 3:

The execution of the sketch model is very good. The concrete and metal finish demonstrate the texture of the model. Green tentacles give rise to vivid monstrous effect.

Reviewer 4:

Good job with the model. The finish is really nice and makes the cauldron look old and spooky. I would say that adding more detail to the tentacles can make them look more realistic and add to the experience. It would also be cool if they moved!

Reviewer 5:

The finishing on this was well-done, and the use of foam core to create the cauldron was clever. Since the scale was so small, the tentacles seem wider than I would expect, so it might help to scale up the cauldron but keep the thickness of the tentacles the same. The finishing on this model definitely accomplished your goals, and fit the theme well.

Reviewer 6:

I think your sketch model really does a great job in showing the experience that you want this to have. I like the colors and finish on the outside and the rope aesthetic. I would maybe even try and make the metal look more rusted and dirty since it looks pretty clean right now. Great job!
