I like your monsters! They are creepy in general with being very specific. Which is nice.

I would stick away from the squiggly tentacle monsters, personally. They tend to look a little bit more like a 'spaghetti monster' than anything else. The werewolf is a nice and distinct outline.

I also think going with the same monster on the X/Y axis standing one, will help it remain recognizable from all directions.

Definitely go with the werewolf over the tentacle monster, as it is more recognizable while still intimidating. I think you will still have to think about adhering to the floor in the full size room to prevent people from tipping the things over.

If in the full scale room the creatures don't need to move and only the lights move, the structural issue can be easily solved as you mentioned in your description. That being said, your second model solved this issue well and allows for more flexibility in the overall room design as you can move the creatures.

In addition to keeping with creatures with easily recognizable shadows, shadows with simpler geometries will make it more clear to the players where on the floor they can and can't stand. The fuzzy tentacles could be a little difficult to always monitor when someone is standing in the complicated shadow.

Additionally, the angle of the lights could change by less than 90 degrees so the shadow of the wolf is still cast but at an angle.

Looking at the different shadows is really interesting! I think something to be explored more is what the room would look like with multiple monsters in a room. Maybe you can play with shadow changes to make a game more difficult. Could you almost trap someone into a corner when the timer starts getting shorter?

Nice detail with the speckle paint, as well. It wasn't necessary to add that touch, but it made it look more finished than just leaving it black.

I would have like to see more shapes considered or maybe more figures cut out to start thinking about the layout of the entire room. Maybe try different lighting locations and orientations of the models themselves to give the best effects, but it was tough to tell if these ideas had been explored.

The "looks like" was simple but clean and clearly explored the structural and user understanding aspects of the statue details. It might have been nice to see a more detailed study of the shadow effects from lights at different angles to further explore those options.
