Feedback on the concept explored by the sketch model

Client 1:

There are two concepts that I think I can pull out of your sketch model: the feedback light to indicate a successful connection, and the different lock shapes for each of the boxes. The light is fine - I think that's a good way to provide positive feedback. I don't love the idea of making the lock shapes such a central part of the game mechanics. It's the engineering equivalent of hard-coding values into a program - whatever you decide to build first is what you're stuck with. In some games that can be a good design decision, but I think in this case it severely limits the replayability of the game without adding much value.

I would like this game a lot more if the challenge were in something more than just matching the square peg to the square hole. Can you introduce some sort of mechanic where there is only one correct box, and based on a clue mechanism of your choice, you have to pick the right one?

There's nothing indicating how full the safe is. At this point it feels like it would be purely a guessing game as to which things to use. I'm skeptical about the description of bills flowing through the hose, how would this be reset?

Reviewer 3:

Solid concept. It seems like your team is iterating on the designs and well aware of the limitations of approaches you've taken so far.

To understand this correctly, I had a look at both the sketch models. In my opinion, there is no real motion of the currency notes in your idea. You create an illusion using the other sketch model. It'd be better to create some form of illusion in the hoses to demonstrate movement of notes throughout the system. Quite honestly, inclusion of this seems very difficult to me as of now but it'd be wonderful if you could.

Reviewer 5:

The concept is an important piece of the game, thus it's worth exloring by a sketch model.

Feedback on the execution of the sketch model

Client 1:

This is a pretty basic model. Since there are not a whole lot of components here, I wonder if you could have shown a bit more of the integration with the rest of the room - either a wall of lockers or how one locker would fit with the fan mechanism.

Reviewer 2:

The diameter difference is noticeable for the two hoses. Will you explore other connector shapes/sizes as well? Hoses of varying diameter will be hard to tell apart if there are many of them, making the game frustrating versus fun. Otherwise, it does look like a safe and I could imagine a wall full of them at a bank.

Reviewer 3:

As looks like models, you've aptly shown the look and feel of the various components, for example what it might look like to insert the hose into its socket and see the affirmative light. One thing that is a bit difficult to grasp is what the game looks like upon losing or winning, though that may not have been in your scope for this exercise. T

Reviewer 4:

The sketch model is a simplistic version of what the creators would probably like to see in the real world. It conveys what it had to in the correct manner. I have a small query though, how exactly do you plan on resetting these hoses? Would they be detached automatically after a team. Because, the A-B toggle seems difficult to implement in this case.

Reviewer 5:

The execution is simple and clear. Even though the model only incudes two locker holes and one hose, it clearly demonstrates the fact there are there will be a matching process between the locker and the hose.
