This is an important aesthetic question to have answered

Website didn't feature any works-like concepts, or was too hard to navigate to find them. I remember from the demo however that the works-like model was pretty high fidelity in terms of the electronics? I seem to remember a rod with embedded LEDs which was cool.

Visual appeal is an important aspect of the immersive-ness of the room and I think it is critical that a lot of thought is put into it. Having a glowing effect would make it seem more realistic and testing the practicality of that is important.

You addressed both fashion and function to the rods which both add to the overall gameplay. Perhaps the most important thing addressed was how to grab the rods because without this you will not be able to progress in the game.

Feedback on the execution of the sketch model

Client 1:

This model looks doesn't look quite as industrial or high-tech as I expected. Perhaps a stainless cap with wire rope handles on the top, instead of the recognizable PVC pipe cap? Otherwise, the cartoon glowing look is great.

Again, website didn't feature it so hard to recollect from the presentations, but I remember that the control rod was good. Maybe it would have been nice to include the gantry crane along with it?

I think this was well done. You considered differently possibilities and explored the pros and cons of each.

The various testing did a good job in identifying the best way to latch onto the rods. Answering this question will allow you to move further in your prototyping.
