The Tale of Jimmy the Axe

Once upon a time...

There lived an axe named Jimmy. Jimmy belong to the Woodcutter and he spent his day chopping trees in the forest for all the good people of the kingdom.

Jimmy loved his job because the good people would take all the wood that he chopped and make wonderful things with them. Things such as chairs for the little boys and little girls to sit upon and tables for families to put their plates on when they ate their meals.

But Jimmy thought that the best thing made from his wood was the toys. Because it was the toys that made all the children happy. And although Jimmy didn't see the children very much (only on the days when the Woodcutter finished early and decided to make deliveries), Jimmy loved the excitement and energy they seemed to have. So whenever Jimmy felt tired of chopping the wood, he would always think of the happy children and that would make him work harder.

It seemed that the Woodcutter enjoyed the toys too because he would always boast to Jimmy about the wonderful things that his uncle, the Toymaker, had just made. It seemed to bring a smile to his face. Jimmy likes it when the Woodcutter was happy. It made him happy to see his best friend happy.
