The Tale of Ann the Squirrel

Once upon a time...

there lived a squirrel named Ann. Ann lived in the trees surrounding the Royal castle. Ann was a very hard working squirrel and could be found every Autumn hunting for nuts. She would store away the nuts so that she would have something to eat in Winter and early Spring when food became hard to find. She would stor her nuts in five different places because that is what her mother told her and Ann always listen to her mother.

While Ann worked, the other squirrels would play. "Why are you working so hard? Food is always plenty. You should play. You work to much," they would say to her.

Ann would just shake her head and say, "There is a time for work and there is a time for play. Today it is a time for work." Then she would get back to storing her nuts and the other squirrels would get back to playing.
