Joey quietly watches Sean and Rachael arguing over what
to do with the mouse.
"Yeah right, go ahead and throw chemicals on it and burn
it so it can be nice and miserable. Rachael, where the hell do you get
these ideas from?" Sean says exasperated.
"I tell you this chemical can dilute the glue. We just
have to put the right amount"
"I don't wanna do that. How about we burn it with my
new lighter? It's like a damn blow torch. It'll probably burn
its skin right off, man. It'll take less time than finding that chemical
you think will get the glue to release, and probably end up doing the same
thing." Sean grins.
"Sean, you're sick." Joey interjects from the sidelines.
Rachael loses herself in her thoughts for a while,
"Well," she says eventually. "Yeah, you might be right, it's just a random
theory. I guess it's stuck for good." She looks at the cute
little mouse again. "Whatever," her voice quivers.
Sean looks up at Rachael, then lowers his head and stares
at the floor. "Hey Rache, lighten up. I wasn't really gonna burn it. Some
lighter torture perhaps?"
"Yeah, anyway, I gotta go upstairs. see ya" She
leaves the kitchen.
