"What's up with Sean?" Rachael says when she sees
him all covered in dust, triumphantly waving something in the air.
Joey smiles, "He's going on a crusade against the kitchen
mice. This is gonna be intersting."
"The exterminator's been here three times this term and
those mice still haven't disappeared. He might be messing with fate here.
Anyway, those mice are pretty harmless." Rachael
turns her attention to Sean. "don't tell me you're using glue traps. Oh
come on Sean. The poor mice. Can't you use poison or something?
"The poor mice?" Sean exclaims looking up at her
in disbelief. "Poor me. I'm the one you should feel sorry for here. They're
infesting our house. Ah you women, always getting soft about anything that
moves. I just spent half an hour rumagging through all the junk in the
basement to find these damn glue traps and all she can do is ask me why
I don't use poison." He says with a dismissive wave of his hand and
bends down again to put the traps. He puts one near the stove and then,
reaching under it as far as he can, he places the other one.
"Aha! There. Now evil mousies,
you have no chance. You are MINE!"
Joey leans against the counter, silently watching his
friends getting all worked up over the randomest
things.
