Web Design: Stages

When providing information on the Web, you must continually consider each of the following design stages

  1. Planning: define the purposes and objectives for the site.

  2. Analysis: evaluate the information content of the site based on decisions in the planning stage.

  3. Design: create a "storyboard" and design "metaphor" to give the site a consistant look and feel

  4. Implementation: ensure consistancy and access from different browsers.

  5. Promotion: target general Web audience and potential users.

  6. Innovation: interact with users to meet their changing needs.
