Aspen Farms Community Garden

Aspen Farms is a large community garden at 49th and Aspen Street in West Philadelphia's Mill Creek neighborhood. Aspen Farms has won many awards in city-wide contests, including Best Garden and has been featured on the cover of National Geographic. The Aspen Farms/WPLP partnership dates from 1988 and includes many projects. Since 1995, Sulzberger Middle School has planted plots in the garden. President Hayward Ford has provided inspiration and instruction for SMS summer programs that Aspen Farm has hosted since 1997.
