Legend
Each stimulus is made up of two components: a noise (N) and a tone (T, the signal to detect). Each component may be presented monaurally or binaurally. Subscript indicates the interaural phase difference for that component:
o = binaural, same phase
m = monaural, presented to the left ear only
π = binaural, opposite phase
