Begin by dealing the fifty-two cards of the deck out into thirteen face-up stacks, laid out from left to right: Aces on the left, then Twos in the second stack, and so on up to Kings in the thirteenth and rightmost stack. Clubs should be on the bottom, followed by Spades, then Diamonds, and Hearts face-up on top. Pick up the Ace of Hearts from the top of the leftmost stack and hold it in your hand.
The rules of the game are as follows: on each turn, you play the card in your hand face-up onto the top of a stack (other than the one you picked it up from!). Then pull out the bottom card of that stack, and repeat. Your last move must be onto the leftmost stack, but you can move cards to that stack earlier in the game as well. (Note that, for scoring purposes, red cards are worth more than black cards.)
In this particular game, your first move is to cover the Queen of Hearts with the Ace of Hearts. (Remember, you now pick up the Queen of Clubs from the bottom of that stack!) After that, you make each of the following 27 moves exactly once, in some order, moving no card more than once (except for one!):
Put an Ace on a Jack
Put an Ace on a Queen
Put a Two on an Ace
Put a Two on a Seven
Put a Two on a Ten
Put a Two on a King
Put a Three on a Six
Put a Three on a Jack
Put a Four on a Nine
Put a Five on a Two
Put a Five on a Two again
Put a Five on a Four
Put a Five on a Seven
Put a Five on an Eight
Put a Six on a Nine
Put a Seven on a Two
Put a Seven on a Three
Put a Seven on a Three again
Put a Seven on a Jack
Put an Eight on a King
Put a Nine on a Five
Put a Ten on a Seven
Put a Jack on an Ace
Put a Jack on a Two
Put a Queen on a Five
Put a King on a Six
Put a King on a Ten
(Make sure that when you end this game, the Ace of Spades is on top of the center stack! It is the proudest card and wishes to be displayed in a place of honor. Furthermore, neither the leftmost nor the rightmost stack should have a Five on top.)
Well played! As a bonus, you can drop a Joker face-up next to the rightmost stack.
