This puzzle consists of six entries from a journal. Each entry has a date, and describes a series of events experienced by the journal author.
Each sentence in each entry clues a piece of the plot of a Broadway show nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical, Best Play, Best Revival of a Musical, or Best Revival of a Play. The shows clued in a given entry all opened during the same Broadway season, and the date of the entry is the date for the Tony Awards that season.
Each show opened at a particular theater. On a map of Broadway, connect the theaters clued in the order given in the entry (as in connect-the-dots), and notice that each entry produces a letter. When ordered chronologically by season, the letters spell the answer: BOTTOM.
