Each line of images is a sort of pictorial cryptic crossword clue. The first and second groups have as answers episode titles of first seasons of TV and radio shows respectively. The image corresponding to that episode number is extracted for a final rebus in each group.
Group 1
Line 1: "The Boys In The Bar" = Cheers, episode 16, and 16th image is a bar
[HEADS]([TOILET][HAMBURGER][EGG][BOTTLE][OCTOPUS][YOGHURT][SALT])[PINK][AXES] [KP][BACKWARDS]([ATHENA][INTERSECTION][FROTHER])[BAR]
yields
THEBOYS [PINK][AXES] [KP][BACKWARDS] THE BAR
yields
THE BOYS IN THE BAR
Line 2: "The Harvest" = Buffy the Vampire Slayer, episode 2, and 2nd image is TT track
[INJECT][TT]([H]([HARE][SCRAMBLED])([VEST][CLEAVER]))
yields
[INJECT][TT](HEHARVES)
yields
THE HARVEST
Line 3: "Fonzie Drops In" = Happy Days episode 7, and 7th image is a helium balloon
[FOZZIE]([THIRD][LETTER][ROTATE-90-DEGREES-COUNTERCLOCKWISE])[TAILS]([CROSTINI][BALLOON])([GUMDROPS][GUM][TAKEN])[SHUFFLE]
yields
FONZIE IN DROPS [SHUFFLE]
yields
FONZIE DROPS IN
Line 4: "Dark Rider and the Wolves of Doom" = Turbo Teen episode 8, and 8th image is Dirk Gently
([BJ AND THE BEAR WITHOUT BJ, BEAR][VOWELS REARRANGED][SOFT CENTRES][DOT][NO TEE][OM])[FOLLOWING](([DIRK][MIRRORED])[ENTERING][DARKER][NO K])
yields
AND THE WOLVES OF DOOM [FOLLOWING] (KRID [ENTERING] DARER)
yields
DARK RIDER AND THE WOLVES OF DOOM
Line 5: "The Foot" = Six Feet Under episode 3, and 3rd image is a camera.
[TEA][HE](([CAMERA][ROMANIAN])[SECOND WORD])[BLENDER]
yields
THE ((APPARAT FOTO)[SECOND WORD]) BLENDER
yields
THE FOOT
Line 6: "Northwest Passage" = Twin Peaks episode 1, and 1st picture is a portmanteau.
([PORTMANTEAU][GUESS WHOS])[MCFLURRY][TAKEAWAY]([URANIUM][URANIUM][MO])
yields
(PORTANTEAS GESSWH) MCFLURRY
yields
NORTHWEST PASSAGE
Line 7: "Meadowlands" = The Sopranos episode 4, and 4th image is the L-plate.
[MEADEN][NO ETHYLENEDIAMINE][OW]([LEARNER][ODDS])[NO R][DS]
yields
[MEADEN] no EN OW LANR no R DS
yields
MEADOWLANDS
So the final rebus is
[BAR][TT][HELIUM]([GENTLY][CAMERA][PORTMANTEAU])[LEARNER]
which yields
BART THE (GENERA) L
"Bart The General" = Simpsons episode 5, pointing to the CAMERA.
Group 2
Line 1: "Romance In The Glen" = You'll have had your tea, episode 3, gives PARTING
[ROMAN][CERIUM][PARTING][SHEDS][PART][G])[TENNESSEE][HOUSING]([HEGLEY][SHAVING][PONYTAIL]
yields
ROMANCE IN TN [HOUSING] HEGLE
yields
ROMANCE IN THE GLEN
Line 2: "Dan And The Panda" = Flight Of The Conchords, episode 2, gives DISTORTION
[AND][DISTORTION][AND]([PIANO][AND])[PIERCING][THEA]
yields
DAN AND (PAND) [PIERCING] THEA
yields
DAN AND THE PANDA
Line 3: "The Enemy Within The Gates" = Dad's Army, episode 4, gives MIT
([CHEESE][EVENS][NEMY][MIT][GERMANY -> UK]([EIGHTEEN][CUTTING][2 ES])[SPUN]) [BOARDING][TATES]
yields
(HEE NEMY WITH (EIGHTN) SPUN) [BOARDING] TATES
yields
(HE ENEMY WITH INTHEG) [BOARDING] TATES
yields
THE ENEMY WITHIN THE GATES
Line 4: "Equality and why men won't go to the doctors" = Down The Line, episode 6, gives PHONE
[END][SURROUNDS]([QUALITY STREET][NO STREET][A])[PHONE][Y]([MOTOWN][ENG])[DANCING][TOT][HEAD (top half)][DOCTORS]
yields
END [SURROUNDS] (QUALITY A) WHY (MEN WONT GO) TOT HE DOCTORS
yields
EQUALITY AND WHY MEN WONT GO TO THE DOCTORS
Line 5: "A Youth Utterly Crocked" = Bleak Expectations, episode 3, gives BOXING
[YEARLY][3RD TO 1ST][BOXING]([OUT][HUTT]) [CROCK][ED]
yields
AYERLY [BOXING] (OUT HUTT) CROCKED
yields
A YOUTH UTTERLY CROCKED
Line 6: "English Sporting Success" = Absolute Power, episode 6, gives CHANGE
[KENNY DALGLISH][THROWING OUT]([POTASSIUM][NEW YORK][DAL])([CHANGE][SIGNPOST])[WRAPPING][RADIOHEAD][UNIVERSITY COLLEGE CORK][S-CURVE][OVERHEARD]
yields
KENNY DALGLISH [THROWING OUT] (K NY DAL) (SPOTINGS) [WRAPPING] R UCC S [OVERHEARD]
YIELDS
ENGLISH SPORTING SUCC ESS
Line 7: "Fit The Sixth" = Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, episode 6, gives HALF
([IT][T])[DIVIDES]([REVERSING]([EMPTY][HALF]))[ETH][SHELTERS][SIX]
yields
ITT [DIVIDES] ([REVERSING) HF) ESIXTH
yields
ITT [DIVIDES] FH ESIXTH
yields
FIT THE SIXTH
So the final rebus is
[PARTING]([DISTORTION]([MIT][PHONE]))([BOXING][CHANGE][HALF])
yields
BOXING CHA [PARTING] THEMPION
yields
THE BOXING CHAMPION
"The Boxing Champion" = Hancock's Half Hour, episode 4, points to PHONE
Putting the two parts together yields the answer, CAMERAPHONE.
