WEBMASTER
Maintain and improve the TBP website by managing our GitHub-hosted codebase,
updating officer and eligibles info each semester, and pushing changes to our MIT Athena server.
Great fit for someone comfortable with git/GitHub and looking to build front-end and dev-ops
experience.
COMMUNITY SERVICE CHAIR
Organize a minimum of one community service event per semester. This can look like outreaches, organized tutoring, or any other ideas you might have. It is a rewarding leadership role for someone who enjoys organizing people, teaching, and giving back to the community.
ELIGIBLES CHAIR
Manage the incoming list of eligible students each year, tracking their
progress through the initiation process and serving as the main point of contact for
eligible-related communications and events. A great role for someone who enjoys welcoming new
members and helping them get excited about joining TBP.
FELLOWSHIPS CHAIR
Publicize and run TBP's Engineering Service Fellowship program, from info sessions and application review through interviews, logistics support, and following up on project outcomes. Ideal for someone interested in program management and helping peers turn service ideas into funded projects.
DA VINCI LECTURE CHAIR
Organize a TBP Leonardo da Vinci Lecture each semester by inviting an MIT
faculty member to speak on a topic they're passionate about, publicizing the event, and organizing
dinner for an audience of about 30. A great way to build a personal connection
with a professor of your choice while bringing engaging talks to the TBP community.
GRADUATE STUDENT ADVISOR
A current MIT graduate student who was previously involved in TBP Massachusetts
Beta or a TBP chapter elsewhere who advises the officer team, offering continuity and outside
perspective as the chapter navigates decisions each year. A low-commitment way to stay connected to
TBP and mentor the next generation of officers.
