Profile
Neal Brenner is one of the two returning
starters from last year's team. This year he is taking on captain
resposibilities as well. Last year he averaged 4.1 points per game
and was second on the team in free throw shooting at 73.2%.
Neal came to MIT from Cresskill High
School in Cresskill, NJ, where he was a three sport first team All-Conference
performer in soccer, tennis and basketball. He also captained all
three sports. For the cougars and head coach Marty Rivard, Neal
tallied 16.8 points per game his senior year, earning him first
team All-BCSL Olympic and third team All-Bergen County. Neal also
recieved first team All-BCSL and soccer scholar athlete of the year
honors while taking the Cresskill soccer team to their first ever
state championship game.
Neal's father, Irwin, and mother,
Laura, are regulars at MIT games, while his sister, Sarah, is a
sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania. He enjoys skiing (though
not during the season), golfing, music and sleeping. He currently
maintains a 4.8 GPA as an Electrical Engineering / Computer Science major.
