Neal Brenner is one of the captains of the team
for the second straight year. Last year he averaged 4.2 points per
game, 18.4 minutes per game , and his assist to turnover ratio of
1.59 was the best on the team.
Neal came to MIT from Cresskill High School in
Cresskill, NJ, where he was a three sport first team All-Conference
performer in soccer, tennis and basketball. He also captained all
three sports. For the cougars and head coach Marty Rivard, Neal
tallied 16.8 points per game his senior year, earning him first
team All-BCSL Olympic and third team All-Bergen County. Neal also
received first team All-BCSL and soccer scholar athlete of the year
honors while taking the Cresskill soccer team to their first ever
state championship game.
Neal's father, Irwin, and mother, Laura, are regulars
at MIT games, while his sister, Sarah, is a junior at the University
of Pennsylvania. He enjoys skiing (though not during the season),
golfing, music and sleeping. He currently maintains a 4.9 GPA and
is possibly looking for a career in technical sales.
