This lesson aims to introduce arithmetic sequences and geometric sequences to secondary school students. It uses two wonderful problems to do that and it explains the laws of those two kinds of sequences. All of the information upon which this lesson relies should have been introduced to students previously in intermediate school. These include equations and their operations, so the lesson has no prerequisites of secondary school lessons. The video lesson is 20 minutes long with approximately 20 to 25 minutes of activities. There are no additional materials for this lesson, but it is recommended that teachers have a chessboard with 1KG of wheat to show to students and ask them to try to put wheat seeds on the 64 chess squares as mentioned in the video!
