This lesson examines cell construction and functionality, specifically looking at the relationship between proteins and amino acids digested in the small intestine. It discusses the absorption of these substances into the blood, the various nucleic acids (mRNA, tRNA, rRNA) and the arrangement of proteins involved in the activities of the body. The main objective of this lesson is to present an engaging, educational yet entertaining methodology to the subject of proteins. Ideally, it would be beneficial if the classroom instructor has a model of both a cell and nucleic acids, as well as a graphic presentation of nucleic acids. The lesson can be viewed and the activities accomplished in approximately 45 minutes.
