The Solar System
The solar system consists of our home star, the
sun and the nine planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter,
Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. These planets can be
classified into two groups, the inner planets, which are rocky and
small, and the outer planets, which except for Pluto are gaseous
giants.
