Enter abstracts and bibliography

Access the Proposal Abstracts window by selecting Abstracts on the Edit menu, or use the toolbar button.

The Proposal Abstracts window contains tab pages for entering and storing additional proposal components -- technical and non-technical abstracts, a project summary, lab data, and a bibliography. An extra tab page, called Other, can be used to store any type of proposal information.

The type of abstract, lab data, or bibliography required for a proposal is determined by the sponsor.

When you enter text in one of these tab pages, use carriage returns only to separate paragraphs. Coeus will format text for printing in standard page width.

You can also cut and paste text from other applications into Coeus, where it will be in text-only format.

Find more info about MIT -- Organization windows

Most proposals require that you include information about MIT. Coeus Organization windows are an important source. They provide the following MIT facts and many others:

  • Cable address, Telex number
  • Congressional District
  • Incorporation date
  • IRS and Massachusetts tax exempt numbers
  • Federal employer, agency, vendor numbers
  • NSF institutional code

Access the Organization windows from any Coeus window: On the Admin menu, select Organization. Use the tabs to view each type of information.
