2.74 Optimal Product Redesign Fall 1994
Electric Wok Redesign
Available electric cooking woks suffer from many deficiencies, including
difficulty in washing, non-uniform heating, and poor interface. We
redesigned
an electic wok, and increased the time and geometric uniformity of heat
distribution, made visible and understandable the controls, and made the
wok easily cleanable. No wok on the market today shares these features,
attained through systematic design, analysis and optimization.
