I teach a course on West African cinema at the University of Cape
Town and am doing some research on Djibril Diop Mambety. Does anyone
know how I can get hold of "Parlons Grand-mere", the film he made
around the shooting of Ouedraogo's Yaaba?
Also, I have not had any luck getting the film "Ninki-Nanka, le
Prince de Colobane" on Mambety, produced by Eldorado Films in 1991.
They did not answer my phone calls in Paris. Can anyone tell me if
the film is available on video somewhere?
Finally, I am trying to trace the very first scenario of Hyenas, made
before Mambety decided to adapt Durrenmatt's play. According to Andre
Gardie, it is a beautiful lyrical piece of literature, which he
tried to have published, without success. Can anyone help me here?
Mambety has been in Europe for a while and has not answered my
 letters sent to Dakar.
 Thank you.
