| I walk toward the T and pass by the drummers as I do so. They are packing up to go home. Entering the T with a backpack full of science fiction books, I'm broke but pretty happy. Soon I'll be home, relaxing and waiting for a hot vegetarian dinner. As I step onto the train, I take the last sip from my drink and re-immerse myself into my reading. |
Georgy is takin a break when I get back. I tell him to help me pack
up, we're splittin. And he can keep what's in the bucket for all I
care. He asks me what's up. So I says, Well I just found this fifty
layin on the sidewalk so I have the money I need for Toots anniversary
gift. He's all smilin, so I says Pack up them drums, I gotta stop at
the mall on the way home.
I guess takin that money weren't exactly the right thing to do. But I figure it's like that Robin Hood. Take from the rich an give to the poor. Me an Georgy get on the T to head back to Quincy. |
