Pandemonium Books and Games, 5:30 pm

I proceeded to The Garage to check out Pandemonium to see if they had any of the books on my list in the used section. I was hoping to save a few dollars. First, though, I quickly scanned the shelves for used books by one of my favorite authors, Spider Robinson. Many of his books are out of print, and so I searched, but to no avail. I also scanned for a few other authors, but didn't find anything I didn't have. Then, I began to go down my list of books. Looking through the shelves, I only found one of the books I needed, Ammmonite. I wandered around the store a bit more, checking out some roleplaying games with some interest, but not enough to crack any of the books.

I brought my purchase up to the counter. The guy who always seems to work there when I visit was working, but he was on the phone, so I didn't really talk to him. I left, passing by the Newbury Comics next door and its displays for the upcoming Ani DiFranco album, and the very goth, very pierced people on the bench outside.

I'm *still* on the phone, but now with a different guy, wanting to know if we have this card game which, if he knew anything, would know that it's been discontinued. He thinks we have some extra in the back that I'm not telling him about. Grr again.

Plus I have a customer to deal with, so I just check her out. She's got Ammonite, interesting book, but a little too dykey for my tastes.

I can't wait to be on the road to Hartford tonight. Just a little while longer, and I'll be off work.
