One time, Eric was out talking to people in Harvard Square. This biker guy comes up to him, big leather jacket, buttons, several well-placed piercings, looked like it had been a while since he showered, comes up to Eric and takes a flyer.

Now Eric had gotten used to dealing with crazy people, but this guy read over the flyer and looks up at him:

"You this Eric guy?"
"Uh, yes sir. Are you a resident of Boston?"
"Why you runnin for mayor?"
"Well, I just think students are underrepresented here in the Boston area, and I'd like to do something about it."
"Just don't let them get you up the ass, boy."
"Thanks. Thanks a lot."

There was a lot of stuff like that. Campaigning is stranger than you might think. It ain't all babies and rallies. In fact, there are almost none of either.
