Right: MSCL Logo I interned with the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab in the summer of 2007 and worked with a team of six other engineers to design a payload to be deployed on Mars with the Astrobiology Field Lab rover. We developed the Mars Student Climate Lander, which would be deployed to collect weather data on Mars. My job was to design the structure of the system so that it could withstand being dropped 2 meters onto the martian surface, collect enough solar radiation to function, and house all the necessary sensors and actuators.
