Vision

Imagine that we can interact with daily objects, ordinary, non-electronic and electronic, as if they were digital. Imagine we could augment our world with interfaces that allow us to interact with digital content anywhere and everywhere. And imagine you could share this with anyone with you. A technology that closely follows you and allows you to control, interact and understand the world around you.

A Drone’s Eye View is a system to bridge the physical and digital worlds. An autonomous drone with the ability to project interfaces around you. Pick a surface, and watch it come to life. Walk over to the workbench, and project a circuit design tool right next to your prototyping board. Walk to the coffee table and project the presentation that you’re giving. Head to the home theatre system, and an interface is on the wall right next to it. With the flick of a hand gesture you can provide natural and intuitive inputs.

What Is it?

Drone’s Eye View introduces a novel way to transform any surface into an interactive interface.

How it works

Combining a pico projector, microcomputer, drone, leap motion, and the OptiTrack IR tracking system, our system provides the user with a seamless natural user interface on any surface.
