How long do I need to use Cultura: how many class periods will Cultura require?
Two cases need to be made, depending on whether you teach in a College/ University or a High School.

• If you teach in a High School:
  Cultura can be used either as a year-long project throughout a whole academic year or only for half a year, depending on how it best fits into your curriculum. Clearly, your curriculum needs to be modified to accommodate Cultura. If you work in an exchange mode, the amount of time spent on Cultura is best negotiated with your partner.

 

• If you teach in a College or University:
  
  • If you are on a semester schedule, we strongly recommend that Cultura be used for the duration of the semester. In the "live exchange" mode, a lot will depend, of course, on your partner's schedule, since you will be able to interact only during the overlapping parts of your respective schedules. But a mimimum of two months is strongly suggested. Using it for less than two months might jeopardize the value and validity of the project.
  • If you are on a trimester schedule, it is strongly suggested that Cultura be used for two consecutive terms, depending again on the partners' schedules.
