Subgroups

The goal of the Consortium is to determine the mechanisms by which human and murine glycan-binding proteins (GBPs) mediate cell communication. To this end, the Steering Committee designates priority GBPs for study by the Consortium, and Participating Investigators are divided into the following Subgroups based on the relevance of their research to the GBPs selected for study:

1. C-type lectin
2. Siglec
3. Galectin
4. TCR/CD1/MHC antigen receptors
5. Other - for investigators whose research does not fall into one of the above Subgroups

Participating Investigators, who may belong to one or more Subgroup depending on their research interests, use resources generated by the Scientific Cores of the Consortium to investigate the Specific Aims for selected GBPs in each Subgroup.
