No listeners Prereq: Permission of instructor Level: G 6 units Standard A - F Grading Can be repeated for credit Interdisciplinary projects and interactive practices in urban settlement issues as investigated by MIT's SIGUS (Special Interest Group in Urban Settlements), with a focus on developing countries throughout the world. Participation by guest practitioners. Additional work required of students taking the graduate version. Design an Electric City: 2-week workshop designing buildings and cities of the future with an international team from SUDT, Masdar Institute, UAE and MIT. January 11-21. Field trip January 9. Experiment with Electric City Models: 2-week workshop envisioning and testing buildings for cities of the future with and international team from Singapore and Abu Dhabi. January 4-15.
