Keep it moving! Flow classes, also known as vinyasa flow classes, are generally faster paced than mostother class types to help you build heat, strength and flexibility. Repeating a series of flowing postures between longer holds of static postures, movement is coordinated with breath. As an all levels class, it is appropriate for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.
Please bring a yoga mat and warm clothing/a blanket so you are comfortable during the final resting pose.

What does it look like to be inclusive in regards to gender and why is it important for health professionals? Aspiring health professionals are eager to deliver the best patient care possible to all the communities they serve. Yet, consider the following:
How can MIT be a catalyst for transforming this disconnection?
To address this disconnection, the MIT Prehealth Advising Office is coordinating with LGBTQ Services to bring you a non-credit IAP workshop on this topic. The workshop will include a panel of professionals, including an MIT nurse practitioner, the Fenway Institute’s director of Education and Training Programs, and a trans rights advocate & activist.
This workshop has a specific health profession lens, however, it is for ANYONE interested in learning about gender-affirmative language, practices, and perspectives. Send us questions and topics you would want addressed during the workshop (regardless of your availability on 1/19).
Pre-registration requested.

Many students arrive at MIT riding on years of academic success and praise from teachers, parents, and colleagues. But what happens when you encounter uncertainty and failure? Have you been in a challenging class where you worry about how others will perceive you if don't sound "smart" enough? When you fail to achieve a specific goal, how do you manage and overcome discouragement and self-doubt? In this course, we will examine how our own notions of potential and ability can have a fundamental impact on how we approach our work, how much we learn, and how successful we can be in achieving our goals. The course will focus on recent, evidence-based insights regarding human performance, neuroplastictiy, motivation and on how deliberately cultivating a "growth-mindset" can improve our willingness and ability to face challenges and to innovate, despite the risk of failure.
This course is limited to 20 students and advance registration is requred. Please complete this REGISTRATION FORM. Your registration will be confirmed via a separate email from the Teaching + Learning Lab. Registration will remain open until January 8th or until all seats are filled.
