The pivot arms consist of two aluminum blocks coupled by three 3/8" aluminum rods. The lower block (upper-right in the picture) contains a ball-bearing about which the arm pivots. The upper block (lower-left in the picture) is responsible for both supporting the golf club and providing the alignment hole thru which an acrylic locking pin passes.
