Kimmo Viljamaa, M.Sc., is a researcher of the Research Unit for Urban and Regional Development Studies (SENTE) at the University of Tampere. He specializes in the development of local and regional innovation environments, evaluation of regional development work and knowledge management in regional development and regional innovation policies. Current interests are in the dynamics of regional innovation systems and the interplay of technological development and regional development policy.
